Preparedness
The Jessamine County Health Department has plans in place to protect its citizens in the unlikely event of a bioterrorist attack. Public health and personal preparedness are crucial in the face of any disaster and special emphasis has been placed on training our staff on how to react in the event of a disaster.
Our Bioterrorism Training Coordinator also offers educational opportunities for the community. Some examples include:
- Bioterrorism 101 – provides information on various bioterrorism agents
- Family and Community Preparedness
- Psychology of Disaster and Terrorism
